This beautiful room is used for formal and major social occasions and is a great room for a drinks reception before entering the Banquet Hall before a meal.

Unlike the oak-panelled rooms of the Guildhall, the room is dark walnut, added in 1924. The decoration in this room is illustrated in colour and finished in gold leaf. A magnificent chandelier hangs from the lantern roof. The room also has a sprung floor which is ideal for dancing. The room can accommodate 250 guests theatre style or up to 120 guests for drinks receptions.
